What’s the easiest way to get to EWR airport during rush hour? Coming from Williamsburg and got badly stuck in traffic before Holland Tunnel. Think Uber might not be the best option. Thinking of taking the bus from Grand Central

To avoid traffic, take the train from ny penn to Newark penn, then air train.

Train is the obvious answer, though have heard surprisingly good things about certain buses. But buses can still be affected by rush hour traffic. Take the train.

Yeah I know 😞 unfortunately didn’t get a choice

Pretty much every way is horrible lol. Train from Penn may be the best route

Right, train will be the easiest when it comes to traffic. I have some heavy luggage. Are there elevators at every subway station? I have never used them before

No. You have to look at the map for the accessible stations. And hope the elevators aren’t out of order. You might be better off just leaving super early.

If you’re in brooklyn then taking i278 via verrazano over staten to newark could also have been an option. Traffic moves there even when heavy. Usually if you can avoid going through manhattan, its the best car route.

I have an offer and want to negotiate

1. London base salary but I have to absorb all the expenses (train + stay)
I am thinking to negotiate to

2. home base salary and have my expenses paid for

I know that's depends on the amount I have to travel (and potentially stay) but at the moment this is unknown. Past 8 months was just twice a month + 2 nights stay.

The only thing I know is it won't be every week, the return trian ticket is about £80-100, depends I could plan ahead.

So, I've realised there's a problem with developers, a lot of them are coders, not engineers. And another issue, is that, companies don't really care about their progression as far as I'm aware, so what did you guys do in your own time to transition from being a coder to an engineer?
