What’s the easiest way to move over from federal consulting to a federal job that is of equal or higher rank?

Has anyone done a 2-hr roundtrip daily commute for years? Unfortunately in this situation due to location of spouse’s job -it’s fairly rural and that area doesn’t have the same level of education (kid is about to start K), diversity, convenience, jobs opps me, stuff to do or parks as our current city has. Switching jobs is not an option for him unfortunately. I do feel very guilty about the long commute for him though.

How is the interview process in csg? I did complete my first round on Saturday. Since it was weeknd last night I was drunk and had hell face next morning in interview. I answered simple questions with troubling face and interviewer didn't ask me more than 3 questions . I got call for managerial round discussion. I'm still wondering how I got cleared in first round. Folks who’ve left ClearView, how is life on the other side, and how long did you stay before you jumped ship?
