Just recieved a offer from Western Alliance Bank for a Senior Business Analyst role. Comp 100k but the role would be in office. I currently work remote, have unlimited PTO,and a really healthy work life balance but am being underpaid tremendously. The new role seems like it does not have healthy work life balance and many red flags have already come up. I want to grow my skills and wouldn't mind being in office as I do miss being around people. How do I vet the role before accepting?

As much as possible, yes
I don’t respond to any emails on vacation. If something is truly urgent they can call me, I let it go to voicemail and then decide if it’s something I want to work on
This is a better question for your company’s bowl and your engagement team.
No emails or phone. If truly urgent they can call me. I’ve learned that if you actively engage and respond to emails, people will soon start to forget you’re on vacation and you’ll quickly end up working 4-5 hrs/day when you’re supposed to be off.
I solve this by going to locations without cell/internet access. Remote back country hiking and camping trips!
Same!
I took time off this week, and was asked to respond to an emails. Since I was off, I wasn’t expected to reply at the latest Wednesday. When I asked why, he said “I don’t know yet"
If your company gives you a phone they will typically expect you to go over emails and respond to urgent ones- even though not immediately
