What's the fastest recruiting process you've been a part of? Submitted a cold app this last Sunday and have my 4th interview of 4 scheduled for next Wednesday. Should I be concerned this company is moving too quickly?

I work at mongodb and they recruit really fast. They don’t play games, just good recruiting teams.

It took my current company only 2 1/2 weeks initial talk to offer. Nothings hard about interviewing people. This company could be very good or desperate. You get to find out which.

Back in February, Accenture gave me a verbal offer in 2 interviews (excluding recruiter) and 8-9 days after I submitted my app. Seemed like they were desperate for SAP people lol

What company is this… and not necessarily. The fastest process I had was having 1 interview and basically getting an offer right after. While the company gave good vibes, the compensation did not. I negotiated pay and position- they never came to par but kind of pressured me into signing right away. I’d asked for time as I was getting married and the partner messaged me on the Saturday, hours before my ceremony 🚩 I passed.

A1- Better and what else?

Sounds like they have a very urgent and immediate need.
For my current position, I submitted my app over the weekend, had the initial HR interview Tuesday morning, a peer interview that evening and was told I would have two more (CEO and CRO) in the next few days. Wednesday morning HR called with an offer and said no additional interviews needed as there was a leadership dinner the night before, where I was one of the topics. Unbeknownst to me at the time, but the CRO and I worked together about 10 years ago, which definitely helped.

Maybe, it depends.

A super senior PPMD sent my recruiter a referral for an opening on my team. We did all our interviews and had an offer to them within a week. Luckily they were very well qualified for the position.

3 days. I got a call from a recruiter Monday, had back-to-back interviews Wednesday morning, and got a verbal offer Wednesday afternoon. On the other hand, I’ve had a hiring process take 6+ months before I received the offer. Both were for major name-brand employers. I think it just depends on how efficient the company is and whether they’re in a hiring sprint. It’s not a red flag for them to move fast, though if you’re interviewing elsewhere, you should try to expedite the other process so you can make an informed decision.

I'm doing everything in my power to not quit without another job lined up, and every interview falls through. I'm overwhelmed by my clients, I've had enough corporate koolaid for a lifetime, I could not care less about what I do, and I've started exhibiting destructive behaviors at work but keep getting told I'm doing great.

If I'm going to be stuck here, clearly my attitude is the main problem. How have you learned to find joy in your job? What makes you feel like you matter here? Why stay?

My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?

Hello, everyone!

I have an interview for a relatively new law firm early next week. However, upon doing more research about them, I noticed that their website has only a black-and-white website about only what the law firm is about.

My questions are:

Is this a red flag?
How do you guys prepare for interviews specifically with law firms that have little to some information on their website and Glassdoor?

Thank you so much in advance!

Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? A company along those lines.
