Everyone is dying to hire SCIs. You can have your pick of employers my friend

You set on EY? I know we’re hiring Fed like crazy right now. Especially with SCI

I was at EY GPS. All there is is audit readiness and bs IT risk (aka IT audit work). Maybe they’ve won some new work since last year

You need to go with your gut but I like facts, too. While the above mentioned experiences may be true, that is their opinion. Audit readiness has definitely been the bread and butter, for obvious reasons, but there are a lot of projects outside of that. If you are an internal/IT audit skill set, then yes, you are going to end up doing that type of work.

Thanks everyone for the enthusiasm! No, not set on EY specifically. Was grabbing coffee today and drove by their new building in Tysons Corner. They just happened to be on my mind. Got a lot of respect for all the firm names thrown out there. Im going to make a move, just want to make sure the timing is right. I've heard some firms slow hiring just after the Fed fiscal year. Be happy for a burner if anyone's offering.

I’m in Tysons and always happy to chat if you find any BAH jobs you like, figured since I got referred in I may as well return the favor

KPMG. We are hiring at EY, pretty much across the board, including GPS. If you, or any serious candidate, wants a referral, happy to help. Hit me up at EYreferburner@gmail

Have come from EY fed into KPMG Fed... my advice: don't go to EY if you can help it . There are other cultures at other firms that are much better and more supportive for you and your career

Ditto what MD1 said but for Deloitte.

This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. I have been applying internally for a year now and I am wondering if this is normal or if my company is just slow? I am a top performer, with great metrics, and I have some wonderful connections I’ve made who support me. I just can’t seem to move up. How long did it take you to move up? How many tries did it take?
