I have 4 yrs of exp as full stack developer and my current CTC is 15 lpa and notice period is of 3 months. I got an offer from another firm for 24lpa but they have shared the offer letter of DOJ after 2 months and asked me to negotiate my notice period or look for buyout. What should I do in this case? Should I connect with my current hr to negotiate? Cause I tried convincing the new hr to share the offer letter of DOJ after 3 months but she is not in the favour of that.

A new analyst has joined our team and we often give them models/ slides but don’t always ask them if they know all of the accounting principles to be able to make minute adjustments to EBITDA or free cash flow. We are a FIG platform, so the knowledge required is relatively unique as well and not as easy to google as corporate transactions. Is there a better way to coach the analyst short of just throwing them in the deep end to figure it out or should we wait for them to ask us for help?

How’s the freelance market in SF right now?

After 5 years of freelancing (which I have loved) I am considering a full-time gig. I’ve been a freelance print production designer for many years, and usually on-site in the before times. Now I work remote, and am finding it uneasy dealing with billing. Before I always billed hourly, which made sense, but it’s becoming an issue now. Some companies don’t have a full days’ work, so it seems wrong to bill full days, and it allows me to juggle projects for different companies, but my billable hours are down. I know I should bill a daily rate, but not sure that will fly. Thoughts?
