Depends on the city you’re in. NYC/SF have different rates than CHI/ATL.
Depends on the kind of work you do. Ten years experience in brochure-writing vs ten years of big agency campaigns.
Best way to get gigs today is the same as it’s been - use LinkedIn to find the people you need to reach at the companies you want to work with. No magic tricks or special sites - just networking and emailing.
I charge $150 with 15 years but it’s been hard to get anything over $120 lately.
W2 or 1099? I assume 1099...
Do you have strong HCP experience? If so I’d say $100 an hour. Reach out to the creative resource manager or creative operations manager. They can point you in the right direction!

It depends what industry (advertising copywriting vs music news articles).
For writing articles it’s usually based of word count I believe.
For copywriting in advertisement it’s usually hourly/project rate/day rate.
I would go after $100/hr minimum
