I’ve applied to CSM roles and when I got on a phone interview it was more so the sales rep/account manager that would be driving around & visiting 20 facilities per week in person!! Which does not seem like a “classic” CSM role to me…

Yea, the CSM role can be stretched and distorted and morphed in many ways, but it sounds like whatever company that was went WAAY overboard with their definition.

Oh dang, the link didn't share, trying again: https://angel.co/company/smallworld-3/jobs/2212637-director-of-customer-success?email_uid=2517174410&utm_campaign=daily_subscription_digest&utm_content=director-of-customer-success&utm_medium=email&utm_source=subscription-digest&utm_term=
Eh I think in this case it’s okay - it’s a small company and you’d be the first CSM so I actually appreciate the title reflecting the nature of the role. You’d be an IC but also likely build the CS function so why not be a director? Only thing is that the pay isn’t a director salary 😓
