What’s the ideal % increase in base salary that I can target when switching jobs? I’m interested in VP roles at banks.

Based on my initial conversations with the recruiters, I hear that banks pay between $140k and $165k of base for VP roles. Does this range sound accurate? It seems to be in the lower side compared to Big 4 Manager salary.

What field? It looks low for e.g., Cybersecurity.

Shoot for 25-30% min - sliding scale depending on how much you like/don’t care about the opportunity or like/hate current employer.

Banking is Analyst/Associate/VP/Director/MD/Senior MD I’d say manager is equivalent to Director for retail/commercial banking. Ibanking/S&T trading closer to VP. VP is the most used title at a bank, I know VPs (banking) that make $1m+ and others that barely clear $200k in retail.

Depends I work at a bank Senior Manager level making 145 Directors I know making 165 and VPs are making 200k plus bases...it all depends on the job architecture
