Struggling. Took a role at my dream company and I’m so thrilled to be there. I did, however, take an available role to get in the door: a significant step down from my experience/expertise. Leadership acknowledge this and are strongly committed to catching me up with the complex product and industry (a full shift from my prior work). Im in my head that as a young female executive on a rapid successful track, that I’ve derailed myself, so I continue to fixate on all the negative. Anyone else?

What’s the scoop on which tech firms are hiring a lot (FAANG or otherwise)?

Interviewed for a senior analyst position, given salary and equity upfront, and was told I was obvious candidate and qualified.

Got offer but HR apparently thinks since role requires 4 YOE, I don't qualify for senior position and thus the salary and equity bands are ~10% less.

Is this red flag? Or is this typical HR bullshit I should respect? How hard is it for a mid size company to make exceptions, or am I being given the runaround?

Starting my new gig soon and doing my laptop selection now. Have a choice between a 13” or 16” MacBook Pro. For consulting I always did the 13” option for ease of transportability but now that I’m moving out of consulting thinking it’d be better to go with the larger 16” MacBook.
