I basically went through 2 years of consulting being on the bench for 70% of the time and exited to PE LOL. Mainly did RFPs and some client work

That’s awesome

I was recruited for a specific project but when that ended, I went to the bench. I was there for 5!months before I was placed in a Staff Aug role with a software company. I didn’t learn anything because they placed me in a role to manage the support queue for their clients. I asked for guidance and training on their implementation process and timelines and what they expected for design documentation but none was provided. I am still on Staff Aug but for one client and hate my life. I am also expected to scope RFPs and create responses for something I have no idea about like long an implementation will take or what the best practices are for said area.... I hate it and want out but I can’t find anything to save my life

7 months

Almost 4 months, luckily was between November and February when nothing gets done anyway. Didn’t affect my performance as I spun it that I was learning new skills (coding) that I utilize on my project when I finally onboarded.

What resources did you use to help learn coding?

Need advice for resigning while on bench. I already have a start date with the new employer. Should I do a traditional two week notice or give <=1 week notice instead? My goal is to not burn bridges, but I also don’t want to get let go on the spot since I have nothing to “wrap up” besides HR tasks. I’ve read on here that sometimes they will let you go day of and pay you out for two weeks but I don’t see why any firm would do that for somebody not currently performing billable work...

Drafted 4th in 10 team .5 PPR. Bench is a little underwhelming, but solid starters. Went with upside bench players. Got offered Brady/Mixon for Allen/Robinson, but I think I like Robinson over Mixon even though Mixon is getting drafted higher, but let me know your thoughts.
