Hi fishes, what are the chances of Pwc AC rescinding an offer, given the market condition. The offer letter I have received seems to be generic and doesn't look it is for a specific project. The role seems to be generic. I am a little hesitant, specially because of HR's behaviour who doesn't seem to care responding to my queries and ignores all my emails and calls. Any advice?

How should I prepare for Corp strategy roles?
8 weeks. Told them I am committed to my team and will see the project through.

Was this the longest you were able to extend? What do you imagine would have happened if you asked for a little more time?
I have done close to 6-9 months twice. Once due to visa/green card situation, and other because of my wife pregnancy situation.
Amazing. Were you ever fearful they would rescind your offer at any time, or potentially find someone new for the role you got the offer for?
If you've committed to going to a new company, why would you need anymore than a month to transition your work? Most people leave with less notice and projects/teams/firms go on. Are you also planning to take time off?
I disagree that 2 weeks is burning bridges. That's standard. Of course any additional time you can give, even if it's just a couple of extra days will go noticed. So if you can swing more, by all means do. But I've had (non-consulting) companies in the past push hard against a later start date. IMO a month is quite generous. You have to balance your commitment to the company you're leaving with your commitment to the company you're joining.
