~90k miles. I drive about 6k miles per year, almost entirely trips out of town. I try and go for a spin every week or two just so it doesn’t sit for too long, but but the last time I used it outside of that was the beginning of the month.
Very much so. The car is in good shape and I enjoy driving it, but I don’t really need it at all.
😂 These guys. 2015 RR Wraith. 18k miles. Drive it on weekends. Love love love love it
'98 Nissan with 130k. I've put less than 1k a year on it for the last 5 years. I just can't justify something new when I drive so little.
Mine is as well! 2005 Nissan Sentra with slightly over 100k miles. Use Metromile for insurance (pay by mile) and can’t really justify having a new car…
Annual comp (including RSU/options) ~400k but still feel very middle class (as a single) in the Bay Area where nicer cars got broken into.. so why bother?
2011 civic. 298k miles. Going for 500k
2014 with less than 11k miles. Can walk the majority of places I go. Have to remember to drive somewhere occasionally so battery doesn't drain. Has been paid off for years, and I have no intention of buying a new vehicle in the ferseeable future.
My battery keeps dying because I don’t drive it.
RAV4. 145k miles. 20 years.
Dude my 2015 RAV4 has 150K
i have a 2016 with only 50k that my partner and i share. i live in a bigger city in my state and love doing local things.
Sold my car in October 2020. Couldn’t justify the insurance, registration, and maintenance of it just sitting there. It’s quite liberating.
I don’t have public transportation. I’ll use boyfriend’s car if needed; otherwise rely on delivery or Uber/Lyft
I drive an imported foreign car with a manual transmission and 65k miles.
It’s a 2005, 4-beater Tacoma with two seats, no power door locks, and hand-crank windows. It spends most of its life in a park-and-fly lot and accumulates about 5k miles a year. I bought it all cash last year and man, I gotta say, no car payment is an awesome feeling - especially when you’re not enjoying a car everyday.
Love Tacoma’s. I have a 2002 with 217k miles. Bought it for $5k all cash. Love it to death. 0 maintainence fees.
4th gen v8 4runner with over 220K. Bought with 150K in 2017, so ~14K/year.
105k miles. Put about 15k on per year.
‘10 Hyundai with 73k miles. Live in a city with a train station and barely ever drive it.
Sold my 2017 90k miles and bought a 2009 135k miles :) no more payments and now I have a weekend project to improve/maintain instead :D
2021 with 12,000 miles. Maybe 20 miles during the week, closer to 100-200 on the weekends. I am a virtual consultant so no driving for work.
2010 Mazda 3 with 60k miles. I maintain it well and it’s been good to me the last 12 years! Zoom zoom
2012 Lexus rx350, 91k miles
Looking for a ‘16-18 Macan gts tho ngl. But fuck this market
2919 with 70k on it. I drive about 2k a month.
Don’t ruin the fun WHD
105k miles, but it’s a 2011 Honda so has a lot of life left. Drive about 8k miles per year, mostly on road trips. If you can have a paid off reliable car, keep it going until repairs/unreliability become an inconvenience
Rising Star
Yea, Honda/ Toyotas are built to last.
2006 Camry with 190k miles. Still works well and hope to replace when gets to 250k (another 3-4 years?)
Rising Star
2005 Yukon. 66k miles. Bought new.
