10k for great job (more flexible, better raises, and less hours) at least 20k otherwise
It's more I'd need same or higher level of flexibility, variety, and career advancement.
I got an offer for $10k more than I make but the city’s higher cost of living is about $8.5k of that $10k. I kind of feel like it’s not worth it but I don’t have my CPA so it seems like I’m not worth much.
@OP either buckle down and get the CPA immediately in public or take an offer of at least $12k higher in an equal COL city and proceed to get your CPA immediately and renegotiate salary.
-10k
$8,500 cash,9% more into 401k (5 yr vesting 15% contributions), better health insurance (pays more of the premium), guaranteed 40 hours/week, and the same 25 days of PTO
I'll probably never leave PA because of the PTO. PTO for my private clients in my vertical is laughable and I love traveling too much.
I'm in industry now. I get 15 "vacation days" and 10 "personal days" plus the week of Christmas off and pretty much all the holidays I used to have to work in public. AND I don't have to work past 4:30 EVER. I don't know what you have at Crowe but my firm didn't have that deal.
