How have other firms dealt with employees testing positive for COVID after reopening? I work at an Am Law 200 that reopened in June and has required all employees across all offices to start coming back in to work every day since then. We got notified that an employee in my office received a positive diagnosis but the office isn’t planning to close and doesn’t think contact tracing is necessary though the person likely still came into work every day last week while waiting for their test result.

I have had issues for a long time, and they always, always come back. I feel like I’m at the end of my rope. If I could fake my own murder or accident I wouldn’t think twice about it, I just don’t want the people in my life to have to deal with a suicide. I feel for them. But what about my pain? I feel like the fertility process is pulling my hubs and I apart. We’re both not great at communication, but I feel like this stressful process just is not bringing us together at all. At this moment, I am almost depressed. I am in a relationship with this guy for 2 years now. In the past 2 years, we have fought more than we have lived days with peace. We both have high ego problems because of which it’s really hard to resolve a conflict. Things have recently escalated to calling names/swearing and even physically abuse from both sides. We both want to end the relationship, have tried so many times, but we cannot.

Decided I finally want to try to get back into shape after years of neglect. I found a personal trainer a few months ago that can work around my schedule, but the quote I received last week seemed really high. It’d be 1-on-1 and at a private studio, so I knew it’d be slightly expensive, but the monthly cost is like $1,500 for 12 sessions. Is that reasonable? This is in a HCOL city.

Any advice for dealing with a constipated puppy? She had been sick and the vet gave her medicine for the vomiting/diarrhea, which is working great for vomiting and lack of appetite but she hasn’t had a bowel movement in a few days even after a few good walks.. she’s a ticking time bomb!

I've started my ivf shots (leuprolide and estradiol) for a frozen transfer next month. I got invited to an NFL game in a few weeks that I desperately want to attend but the game would be during my shot time.

I’m so grateful for my late term diagnosis 18 months ago and my medication because i function like a human now. But it also makes me feel a bit sad that my brain is “broken” and even needs medication.

People that are not neuro-divergent are really just waking up everyday and living their lives with this level of clarity and stamina by breathing air.

Sigh.

Anyone here have comorbid anxiety and/or depression? How did you know, and how do you manage it now? I think I might be struggling with one or both and I’m trying to figure out how to proceed. Not currently seeing a therapist or medicated, managing based on strategies I learned from an ADHD coach back in college, so at minimum I would need to find a provider, which has been a barrier (cost-wise, finding someone with experience with ADHD, etc.)

Did a teladoc consultation today and got confirmed for ADHD. Was asked to go on medication given nature of job. Was told side effects are negligible after 30 years of age. Thoughts?

Movers are coming tomorrow and I have procrastinated packing the miscellaneous drawers and whatnot. My lack of organization becomes very apparent when I pull out 10 different categories of things from one drawer. Chuck 25% and the rest gets put in a box to the new place. Anyone else feel that packing for a move is harder than it should be?

All I want is to aggressively pay off debt, earn a bit higher paycheck, be more balanced and consistent and reliable, improve my health and take better care of myself, and not almost exclusively dread my job. And some time to socialize. These all seems fairly simple… but i am still struggling to accomplish this. It’s downright nerve wracking and frustrating.
