+1 for Sinn 556i

Or 104 if you’re fine with it being a bit “busier” 😁

Forever my Longines hydroconquest
Great pick I agree
Can’t go wrong with Oris or Sinn at this price

I still like the Monta Noble. Right around the $1,500 mark.

Something about the blue outline on the fourth hand with the white that I love. Wish I could combine the blue accents from the white with the dark grey dial.

Man I love the 556 B, but can’t get over the all white hands. Debating between the 104 anthracite and 556 mocha as we speak. Have a datejust, a batgirl GMT, and a few micros.
Excellent, you have great taste. Those are great micros, and of course your Rollies ain’t half bad either.
Something to consider... If you can ever justify buying a $1,500 watch, you can justify buying a $5,000 watch, even if you have to save longer. I considered buying lower-end Seiko, Longines, or Sinn, but had a funny feeling I’d end up with three of those. Instead, I bought one Omega at $4k, which I like more than the others I looked at. Now if you genuinely want the Sinn 556 (which is a fine watch), by all means get it. But if you really want that Omega or Rolex but are trying to save money, I’d save longer and get the one you want—you’ll probably end up getting it anyway, but will end up buying other watches with less resale value first.

My two most worn watches are my Rolex GMT and my Sinn 556. Sometimes you don’t want to have a Rolex or Omega logo on your wrist. I bought the Sinn with my first bonus out of college and I’ll keep it forever - it’s a great watch and I really enjoy wearing it. I agree with the sentiment that you shouldn’t buy a watch just as a placeholder for something you want more, but disagree with the sentiment that once you manage to get a watch you really want, there’s no place for anything else in your collection.
Sinn 556. I have a 556a and absolutely love it as my daily driver.
