Don’t be excited, be disciplined. Excitement fades but discipline lasts forever! On that note, hope you build some life long healthy habits this upcoming year

They say it takes 3 months to develop a habit. Do whatever it takes to achieve that milestone. Be determined but more importantly be consistent. I’ve seen too many people go balls to the wall in the beginning only to fizzle out soon after

I had a great first appointment (after an initial fit call) with a new therapist. I thought things went well, and we were scheduled for a second appointment. However, she sent me an email the following day saying that, due to a conflict of interest that she ethically cannot share with me, we would not be a good clinical fit. This kind of feeds like a rug pull breakup and brings up awful feelings of abandonment. Now, I’m wracking my brain trying to figure out what conflict of interest there is….

Hi anyone working in BDO RISE LLP FS AWM sector- if yes, please let me know how is the work pressure and culture

I graduated from law school in 2007, went to big law and was laid off in 2009 due to the Great Recession. I went back to school and got my LLM in tax, after a stint at big 4, I got back into big law but was asked to start over as a first year. Years later, close to partnership and being mentored in that direction, I lost my job due to something completely out of my control that I can’t get into. I always wanted to make partner, but I’m struggling at my new firm with not enough work (p. 1)

Not sure if this is the right bowl but I am slightly concerned that a friend has started taking steroids over quarantine. He has always had a strict bodybuilding routine and diet. Started lifting 7 years ago and suddenly gained 20lbs of muscle and got super cut in ~4mo even with gyms closed in LA. Also needs viagra on a regular basis now. He claims the only thing he’s changed is starting IF but I’m not buying it... he keeps saying I wouldn’t know because I’m F and our bodies are different.

I am cutting out dairy, gluten and sugar for the next ~6 weeks as an experiment to prove or disprove some of my hypotheses abt my health (high level: that dairy and sugar are awful for my skin, mood and energy levels but that gluten is fine).
Any risks I should be aware of? (e.g., developing/increasing a sensitivity to items cut out)
Thanks!

Need suggestions for how to make cauliflower rice not taste like cauliflower. I love rice, eat it almost once week (significantly cut down from eating it almost every day as a child through college 😅) so switching to cauliflower rice is a challenge since texture and taste wise, I just KNOW it’s not rice. Usually eat it with seasoned chicken and veggies. I like regular cauliflower but for some reason, riced cauliflower has a stronger cauliflower taste for me?
