Hey all! I’m an aspirating entrepreneur building a chrome budgeting extension (similar to honey, except we show you your personal finances instead of coupons, so you can make informed shopping decisions). We have a 10 minute survey testing our wireframes. I’d really appreciate if folks here could take it. We’ll pay you for taking it as well :) Please check out the survey at Okane-App.com! Thanks again

Whats the difference between a tech and products company
I don’t know, and that’s why I’m asking
Google can help you!
It says it’s a software/database company. But does that mean it’s considered tech/products?
Pro
They are a data platform. They started as a database, but then moved into warehousing, data lakes, governance, etc. They are a cloud provider too.
it is a crappy nosql database that few companies use and pain to work with.
Tech. They are lookin pretty good right now. Had a friend interview there
Can you only wish for the stock to tank until they purchase my RSUs and then have it go up again? 😆🥺
On a more serious note to RDC1:
I’m sorry you had a negative experience 😔
I was also interviewing for a customer engineering role, but not SA. Did you ever end up getting communication on your results (whether it be offer/reject)? If not, would it help if I reached out to your recruiter to see where you are in the process?
The interview was similar for me, 2.5 tech rounds (0.5 bc the second interviewer was shaky so had to be vetted again), 2 behavioral rounds, 1 meeting with director, and a meeting with the hiring manager every two rounds just to keep communication open. It was long and difficult, I had constant communication with my recruiter who relayed positive feedback so the interview process was good for me, but they REALLY needed a broad spectrum of knowledge across the stack.
I ended up accepting their offer bc the culture-wise and the knowledgeable people I want to learn from are there, recruiters aren’t always the best representation of the company overall, especially since theyre all really burnt out. Since I’ve joined, I’ve seen a few “farewell” posts from the recruiters I’ve talked to 🥸 maybe they straightup just left the company without following up
I think it's acceptable, why not
It's a tech product company no? I feel like I'm missing something
