What's the policy to expense miles driven? Local client is 30 mile drive one way from my place. Local EY office is 17 miles one way.

Expense the whole thing. When questioned on it, go on a big rant about 'value add' and storm out of the office.

like

I would not do anything PWC 1 says.

like

Expense 13 miles (26 miles round trip)

like

EY1- 26 miles a day @ $0.54 a mile, right?

Yeah it should auto calculate when you expense though. It's a drop down. Ground transportation-->mileage then type in 26.

Pwc1 needs to get audited by the IRS.

Can't speak for what EY allows, but the IRS will allow you to deduct the full distance from home to client. See Publication 463.

EY does not. There is an entire section in our expense policy about this unfortunately.

Junior Dev presents an issue they’re having. I hint to the fact that it may be framework related (this is a very simple fix). The questions they are asking seem out of context, so I ask if they have done any framework related research generally, as our entire application is built on top of this. They answered no, they have been here for months, and it’s not like this wasn’t in the job description. Am I missing something here? Trying to be helpful but stuff like this is frustrating.
