What are some easy to make, low stress holiday meals for a school holiday staff party? I was "volunteered" by our principal to set it up this year (🙄). I'm making decorated sugar cookies but kind of drawing a blank when it comes to savory dishes. Bonus points if you have any adult holiday themed games or fun drinks to suggest! It's off school property and there will be a bar (thank god), for context.

Fortunate enough to have 2 offers on the table 1) In-office Finance Director for 110k 2) Remote Rev Manager for 120k. Remote position also offers more benefits (pto, holidays & sick days). Remote position seems like the better comp package but like the responsibilities more for option 1. Should I try and negotiate with 1 by showing the offering from option 2? Or is remote option the better route?

Please clarify for me. I say if the salary for the position is $52,000, that's what you include when posting the job opening. Ie: Marketing Assistant: $52K. My supervisor says no, the salary is actually 74,000, because she's including health benefits and PTO on top of the 52.. I said if you post 74,000 and the person finds out it's actually 52 (probably with a take home pay of only 38) they will walk. Who's right?

Working my entire vacation in a hotel room...what's the point of all this PTO if we never get to use it 😩

I signed an offer today at another firm (woohoo) going from a large consulting firm to a industry specific M&A firm. Start date is after Labor Day. Not sure now when to put my two weeks notice in. 170 hours of PTO to use or cash out, but I’m in the middle of a project so can’t necessarily just take it. If you were in my shoes, when would you give your two weeks?

I have 3 weeks of vacation that will expire if I don’t take them by July 1st. Any ideas for what to do with the time off? I’m sure intl travel will be impossible, but what about domestic in late June?

I want to call-in sick a couple days next week, but I feel guilty doing so unexpectedly. I’ve only used a couple of my sick days this entire year and they don’t roll over. I could really use the extra time off to re-charge, but I hate letting people down. Should I take them anyway?

They claim they hire auditors from big four and train them from ground up. Would I be stupid not to ask for more information? Or don’t waste my time. Senior in audit. Thx.
