Interested as I’m in a new role ~8 months and considering jumping too!

Best of luck to you!

If the story makes sense then a couple of shorter roles are usually okay, but once you have two in a row under 12 months you likely need to settle in somewhere for a couple of years

Am I overreacting in this scenario? My aunt passed away this week. The entire extended family is vaccinated and coming together this weekend for her memorial gathering & funeral. My older sister flew in from NYC and didn’t tell anyone that she had a fever the past few days. She has not been tested for Covid, and exposed my father who picked her up from the airport. He is making her get a Covid test today. I don’t think she should attend any event & potentially expose older family members. AITA?

I was never a perfume person, but recently decided I want to be. We don’t go anywhere notable with COVID around, so I just wear it around the house in my lounge outfits (aka uniform of the past two years). Still perks me up though! I know it’s Covid and all, but I can’t help but feel upset that I don’t have that many friends. I feel like I work so much that I haven’t had time to build my friendships. I honestly get stressed about who I will ask to be in my wedding party. Does anyone else feel this way? I feel like it’s so hard to make new friends once you graduate college.

Proof of vaccine efficacy: my friend hadn’t gotten his third shot yet, I managed to book mine a month ago. We shared some drinks on Friday and a little romance into the night. Sunday morning he tested positive for COVID from exposure to his sister a few days earlier. Five days later and five negative tests for me. I feel great, and I am not the most healthy individual tbh.

Best time to move to NYC in terms of optimal rental market conditions? I have the option to move there for my job anytime from March to Sept this year. I was thinking the timing would be ideal in March due to less people moving but prices are looking pretty high, I think inventory is lower than usual due to COVID. Any insights on the best time to move?

I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring.
