I am moving geographies and so in a bit of dilemma. The hiring manager reached out for a consultant level role, a level down from my current title. She said the Sr. con role just filled up so either I could interview for consultant level position or wait for a few months when Sr. Consultant positions opens up. I have limited client facing experience since I went from backend to front end and also opportunity to move to desired geography. Not sure how to tackle this smartly. Any thoughts?

Heya!!! I’m interviewing next week for a Sr Account Manager role @ a digital mkt agency. The interviewer asked me to send in my salary expectation before we talk. This is a little bit challenging to me. Talk numbers. The position ask for at least 4 years experience. I have 6. I want to ask for a fair amount because I do think I can bring much value to the company. Also don’t want to compromise just because I’m out of work at the moment. Do you guys have a suggestion ? TIA!!!

Currently pregnant with baby 2 and a start-up which I was really keen on about 9 months ago came back around to offer me a position. I am about 4.5 months away from leave with my current firm. Am terribly nervous about accepting an getting more even half of the leave I could have gotten before. To top it all off they are offering 50% salary until they raise their target (about 30% to their goal right now). This position is in my dream field and a great fit for me, but the timing couldn’t be wors
Advice Needed: Last month I was laid off from work, however, since have been able to secure another position with another firm (located 90 minutes from my house in a more rural part of the state) doing real estate closings. Aside from the commute and the work (not incredibly fulfilling or challenging) the job is fine. I do consider myself incredibly fortunate to be employed during these challenging times. Do I aggressively continue my job search or wait until the beginning of the year?
Slalom Seattle - How’s growth going? Any increase in benefits - 401k match or standard PTO? Heard it’s on low side.

Looking to get a few certifications, I have worked in both IT and HR consulting and am trying to decide between ITIL, SHRM, and PMP. Any thoughts on which would be best for future, quickest to get, hardest test? I get the cert paid for and a bonus upon completion, so trying to decide which one to pursue or the order if I want multiple.
Have an interview @ PwC next week for a Senior Manager role in the “People and Organization” practice. Can someone help me with two questions: (1) what is an appropriate salary for this level? (2) is this the right level for someone with about 10 years of consulting experience? Thank you 🙏
I have been pursuing a job at a certain firm for over a year. They initially rejected me, but then offered me a job after I had already accepted and started at another firm. Well now I have been laid off and I reached back out to this firm. They called me 4 weeks ago and asked me a few questions, asked about my requested salary and mentioned a possible interview. Now it has been radio silence for 4 weeks. Should I just keep waiting?

So I was hired exactly 2 months prior to this covid epidemic and as a result it has made learning how to be a lawyer quite a rollercoaster. I’m trying to learn how things are supposed to be but in all actuality, I’m having to be flexible and figure out how things are working at the moment...which is fine, but it’s hard to predict much of anything when you have nothing to compare it to. Being a law student and interning is nothing compared to practicing. Any advice!?
When you come from another Big 4 and all anyone wants to talk to you about is your company.Guys I left for a reason......

M&A tax professionals - has anyone leveraged their M&A background to get into a top mba program after 4-5 years of work experience and completed a career change?
Help! I may have screwed myself over. I got an offer for $80,000 from a company for a role that was very hard/impossible to find salary data for online (I currently make $78,000) and I negotiated and asked for $94,000 (knowing that was a little high and I wouldn’t get that). The recruiter came back to me and asked if I could provide her data to support this ask. It’s literally based on my current salary and expected promotion/bonus (I know neither of those are certain). I just don’t know how to
Recruiter from Deloitte reached out to me on LinkedIn regarding a cloud strategy role, and I accepted. I don’t actually have a desire to leave Accenture, only been here a year, but I decided it couldn’t hurt to try and see what they’re offering. What should I expect and what are they looking for in this call?
