Hello Fishes, I am new here and would like your inputs on the Grade, Designation & Basic salary in TCS. 1. Is the Grade - 'C3B' & Designation - 'ASC - Associate Consultant' correct for 11 years and 6 months of experience ? 2. And is the Basic salary offered in TCS very less than the Market standard? Thanks in Advance 🙏🏼

Is an MBA really worth it for a career pivot?
I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

They’re likely trying to put together a total compensation package that’s better than what you have now, while still coming in as low as possible.
I think you are probably right although I would have assumed that 401k was uniform across a company regardless of position.
And they want to know your employer 401k match.
Not sure where you’re located, but it’s illegal to ask salary history in NY now. The only relevant thing should be what you want/the market rate for the role. Assuming you should be satisfied with X because you’re making Y is bs.
It's legal but you don't have to answer!
In my case my employer (a Fortune 50) matches up to 6% ($1 to $1 match) and gives an annual contribution of 3-5% of base salary on top of that, regardless if you contribute at all. A friend of mine that works for a mid-sized publicly traded company matches 10%. So that can be an important difference in comp when you’re making $100-150K base salary
I’ll add that I don’t think you have to give either data point (salary or 401k) to get the job. If they come in with an offer lower than what you expect then you can share that info to get them to increase the offer. Remember the hiring manager is the one that wants you over all the other candidates, the recruiter is the one who is trying to get you in at the lowest reasonable cost
