What’s the reimbursement policy for going to another city (for personal reasons) on weekends instead of going home, when I’m on a long term work travel?

Not sure about Deloitte, but most firms have an in lieu of travel (ILOT) policy, which essentially allows you to spend the money it would cost to get you home to do whatever you want for the weekend - either stay there or travel to a third location. However, be aware that any of these expenses are taxable to you. Check your expense policies for details

Check the policy....They used to let you travel back home once a week or they would pay for a equal or cheaper ticket where ever you want. Hotels and food you are on your own I think.

Deloitte lets you either travel home or have someone visit you. If you want to go somewhere else you can as long as it doesn’t cost more! (Or you pay the difference)

Thank you guys for the input! ☺️

Hi all,
I’ve recently transitioned from Travel Customer Service role (8 YOE) to Analyst in the same LOB. Earlier I resolved travel queries through calls/emails, but now my role is to analyse travel spending on Amex cards. Now I want to remain in analysis field and grow. I currently only use SQL, Power-BI and MS-Suite. What should I learn further? Which tools or is there a course I should do? I’ve only done Graduation and thinking of doing PGDM in Data Analytics or BI.
Any suggestions?
