Just know they have access to all files and emails sent so they’ll immediately know that you’re looking for another job, especially on company time

They “could” know But I’m a company of 300k+ employees, I am able to say with confidence, IT has better things to do (or not do) than look to see how many random people are using their computers for personal objectives.

I never had problems with this. One thing to note though is once you put in your 2 weeks, they may reach out to you for being non compliant with your contract. They run additional scans for data loss prevention. they scan your computer for months before you leave and will make you delete documents and have you go through your personal email. With that being said, Save yourself the trouble and do it on your personal laptop.

I'm so frustrated. I've been working for 10 years and I can't get an interview for Senior AD roles, but I get tons of enthusiastic calls for Intermediate ones. Im doing the work of a senior now - concepting alone, working direct with clients, guiding the odd junior - and I do a lot of stuff for the community at large that shows leadership (like conference stuff). I've had CDs review my book and they say my work is great. Why can't I land a senior job? I want to manage, I have good ideas. WTF?

I’m curious to hear from people at other firms what is offered in terms of part time work or alternative work options for people that don’t really care about making partner and might want to work part time. I just had my second child and want to ask to come back from maternity leave on a part time basis but our firm doesn’t seem to have anything in place right now. If your firm offers this, what’s the billable requirement, how much of a pay cut is it, and do you still get benefits? Thanks!

I’m realizing I have a lot of fear—mostly related to health stuff and death. Feel like people are getting sick left right and center (not talking about covid). I’ve never had anyone close to me become very sick or die—don’t know what I would do if this happened. I’m also overly concerned about my health and seem to be at the doctor every month to get something checked. Can anyone relate or provide suggestions on how to overcome something like this?
