Gary is the boss. Should be reason enough to avoid. What a fucking tool he is
🙄
🙄
Gary doesn't know much about the place either. So at least you'd have that in common.
There's a Vayner here in LA?! God, why?! 😩
I worked in LA for a year and a half. I met a lot of cool people. That's about all the good stuff I have to say about that place. Gary is a legend in his own mind. His NY team mostly love him, because he's on the ground there. But a lot of people in the LA office thought he was a joke. Also. They fired 10% of the LA team twice while I was there.
I work in the nyc office and love it- I haven’t heard anything bad about our LA office
Seriously! I’ve made more work here in a year than anywhere else- and I’ve worked at some of the bigger more traditional shops- Vayner is changing the game
A legend 😫
So no pros? I don't know much about the place.
Ever see Gary Vee on a surfboard? I bet he crushes it.
@SC1 no surprise youve made more work - but how's the pay been?
If it's anything like VM NY, then don't expect to have any control over your personal life.
My pay is competitive- it’s all about what you ask for. And sorry you feel that way copywriter 3, it might just be your team/cd though because I don’t feel the same
SC1: I've been out a while, but worked on 4+ teams over two years. Routine 8pm nights. Repeatedly raised flags to multiple CDs, PMs, etc, was told "suck it up," "this is how this industry is sometimes," and "everyone else can do this, why can't you?" Not team-specific, it's institutional to the company.
