I get OP was kind of trying to be cool or facetious or something but we all understand how problematic “broest” is right? Alternatives that aren’t sexist/heavily rooted in the image of a white frat dude: relaxed, fun, funny, tight-knit, goofy, loyal...

I honestly think all of the above is moot as soon as you realize that bro-y, whether or not a positive trait of a culture/person, is what the OP was looking for. I think it’s a good thing that’s the terminology used because then I know those are places I don’t want to work because of all the reasons you listed, OW1; bro-y is not my preference. But, I’m not really sure why describing something as what it is even without a value judgement attached is an issue? I don’t interpret any of the posts in this thread to be about the inherent positive value of bro-y environments. I truly just think it’s a personal preference 🤷‍♀️

I didn’t say it was the coolest but it is where the smart money is.

The younger tech savvy ones haven’t really been able to breakthrough in a meaningful way. If the business isn’t able to demonstrate profitability, unless the play is to get acquired, they will struggle to get a foothold.

Google, Apple, and Amazon are all continuing to struggle in this space.

Unless I’m missing something from the new digital healthcare space, the most broest is probably any M&A group but prob Deloitte, followed by people who work in healthcare finance. For sick and cutting edge and cool would go with the CB Insights Digital 150.

My dad passed away suddenly last month and I’ve been helping my mom deal with the legal/ finance tasks to complete. Mom is asking my advice on what debts to tackle first. He had a life insurance policy (amount unknown but my mom thinks it was $500k) so we’re hoping to use that to help:
-$35k in CC debt (I know..I know)
-$77k on a HELOC (4.64% int rate)
-$88k on their mortgage (4.5% int rate)
-$12k personal loan (5.25% “ “)

My advice has been to pay off the CC debt first and then the..con’t

When on the squat rack, I’ll do squats and deadlifts and take around 20mins sometimes less if I don’t have breaks. Maybe 10-15 mins. How long is too little/too long?
