Conduent HR is ghosting even after sending a salary break up. When I finally got hold of her she told me to send the counter offer through mail. She is not responding to my mails when I'm nearing lwd, very unprofessional behaviour from Conduent. They at least should have the basic decency to get back if rejected or on hold so I could pursue other opportunities. Why drag until lwd? Conduent Tata Consultancy Deloitte India Techie

That's a sign of trust. Mildly annoying due to the time/day, but they apparently value your input.
@ej1, totally agree. Immediately after that got a call from a another client. Client"s wife has been sick for two weeks with viral. Has an appointment with an infectious disease specialist, but two weeks out. Knows my wife works at a hospital so called to see if she could pull some strings to get an earlier appointment.

Took a client to purchase a lawn mower. Pretty awesome mower too. I enjoy the odd requests more than the financial planning questions.
Conference call whether they should purchase an overpriced home in an exclusive neighborhood. Told them it would get them off track to retire early. Nothing swayed them till wife received notice her job to be eliminated.
One of my largest clients always asks me for my opinion on vacation ideas. I'm pretty well travelled so it makes sense. She'll schedule meetings with me to narrow down the locations and settle on one for her and her husband to go. I can't think of a better reason for her to give me a call.
Clients of mine were vacationing in Mexico. They do it every year. Think hippies that never grew up . They rent a car and explore a different part of Mexico each year. They got in a car accident. And a Mexican cop was right there. They immediately arrested him, being American. He claims and I believe that the accident was intentional because he was American. Anyway, husband arrested, wife calls me. Says she needs me to wire 40k to their bank account for lawyer fees and bribes. So I did.
They later told me that their rule is that if someone hits them (which apparently happens to Americans a lot) to NOT stop and keep going as fast as you can. This time however, there was a cop right there. So probably a set up.
They got home safe and sound. Still awesome clients, just 40k poorer and a little wiser
