We still are flying subsonic and no flying cars.
It’s a real disappointment. But I have hope.
Rising Star
Travel trending upwards mainly because most people want to see each other. But not like before pandemic - travel to client really only when it makes sense. I think best of both worlds.
Travel almost weekly to client now, generally not Mon-Thurs though, much more flexible.
Have been to the office a grand total of two times in 3.5 years, so don’t have to go no. To be honest it does not affect promotions at all, do good client work and become close to those partners and you’re good to go.
option to choose travel/non travel. the limitations there are obvious. colocation is also on the table occasionally. otherwise hoteling in office can be option but wfh possible but may limit opportunities. all from my experiences (maybe not representative of all offices/world)
Office is 100% optional, client site depends on client wishes, team colocation is a team decision.
I want to travel a lot and it works quite well for me.
