There is no offer until you see the contract. Verbal offers are an absolute non-guarantee. I would reach out and ask when you will get to review the actual offer. You do not and should not accept verbally beforehand, you don’t even know what you’re verbally accepting!

This is what I suspected—is it typical to have to ask for the written offer? Or should I be patient and wait a few days before asking?

No offer is an offer till you get it in writing. If you have to make a choice and things are still in limbo, tell them that you are pursuing other options and need to take a decision in a definite timeline. If they are serious about you, they will close the cycle. I had the same situation and was able to get a written offer soon as I told them tgg Bg st I was exploring options. Good luck!

I wanted to flag so others can know, I live in mcol and I just received an offer for 120k base and a 15k signing bonus. I have three years of experience. I asked for a signing bonus and a 110k salary. If you are a senior, you should definitely be applying and just see what comes up. Crazy the market for seniors right now
