What's the word for layoffs in NZ?

What are big four companies doing in response to COVID? KPMG US is doing everything they can to prevent layoffs - getting rid of variable compensation bonuses and 401k match before making layoffs

I’ve been on the bench since early Feb and have been working on firm initiatives full time since (proposals, white papers, and practice work). Last month I went on leave for surgery and before I left I asked if I should be concerned about not being on a project and I was told no. I received a bench warning and was told I had two weeks to find a project (two weeks ago) or I would be ejected from the firm. They told me I would receive two weeks of severance. Should I asked for more? How?

How many times have you been laid off? I’m seeing a lot of people describe getting laid off 2 or 3 or even 4 times in their careers...should I just expect to get laid off every couple of years in advertising?

Ok, so I have a couple of offers, one kind of lackluster, for the County. The other is for a credit union-I left credit unions a few years ago to join a FinTech supporting credit unions)
I was laid off last month and have had a flurry of interviews…this credit union offer is my favorite so far, I do have another offer I’m waiting for from another tech company which has a much higher salary range, but nothing is written in stone.
Should I counter? The offer is $95k for a project manager.

Was laid off in Sept. Unfortunately we will be seeing many more coming. It's what happens in a recession. Unfortunately I now also have my age against me. Not in a mentally good place at the moment.

I received an offer from PWC India with CTC 9.5L my current is 5.5L. I have another offer in pipeline from concentrix with 11L. Will PWC match my counter offer?
