Don't do it. You'll be overworked. You will have no social life. If you are successful you will be given more and more and more until you are literally drowning. Unsuccessful people are kept for years.
It gets very demotivating working hard and being successful only to see people who don't work getting to keep their job.
The gainshare is nice. Very nice. The environment is very inclusive. But it wasn't worth the mental distress.
Same, agree 100% - no good deed goes unpunished. Lots of dead weight and the expectation to pick up the slack/fill in the gaps.
Don't. The gainshare is the only thing keeping people here.
We are inclusive but overworked and unappreciated.
I feel completely respected. What I do matters. If I want to advance I can. There is so much growth. Many many opportunities to move up in many departments. I love everyone I work with.
It really depends on what field you are getting into. What is your current position?
I’m in claims
I agree that it depends on what department you are working in. As an IT professional I feel valued and appreciated here. The culture is amazing and the work home life balance is the best you will find.
I can only speak for my area but The senior leadership group is really supportive and values the issues we bring up.
I am in sales/cpt/Robinson and it's the easiest most laid back job I have ever encountered. I am shocked at those saying they feel over worked. The pay is terrible without commission and last years gain share was nothing to write home about. But I am home relaxed working everyday
I am going on year 2 and only made 53k after taxes. Bonuses are called gain share and based upon the stock market and sales for the year as a whole.
Pros: Big open-door policy. People want to listen to you, and you can make a difference. I feel I can also be honest with my supervisor about things I like and don't like. While metrics are important, it is not always slammed down my throat like at different companies.
Cons: Lately, communication from higher-ups needs to improve on changes that are being made and why they are being made. I am a Senior Licensed Rep in our preservation department, and they have made several changes that they have tried to tout as a positive change, but it has just made my role more challenging to keep up with. They are trying to improve that communication issue by having a monthly round table with higher-ups. So we will see if this will help.
Been here for almost 8 years in three departments, and hopefully, it will be a fourth. I am applying to be a software developer today!
That actually brings something else I don't like, though. The interview process for any position is very rigorous and too formal. They use the STAR format and look for different keywords that match what they call competencies. So though you might give really good answers it's possible because you didn't say certain words or phrases you may not score as well.
I’m in PIP litigation claims and it’s a LOT of work.. but I feel busy more so than stressed if that makes sense
Can anyone speak to the length of the hiring process? Applied 10 days ago and have not heard anything?
When I was hired, turn around was about 10 days for a phone interview and I had my offer about a week after that. That was in 2020.
They're hiring even in-house is pretty quick too. Other companies I've been with it's at least 4-6 weeks.
I hope you hear something back soon!
