It depends. Are you coming from big law? Do you have a lot of prior work? Are you bringing portable work? In conflicts the length of the check depends on how many prior matters you’ve worked on, portable work and the firms risk tolerance (ie do they run corporate trees for all entities or direct names only).

I’d say on average a partner at an AmLaw 100 firm takes about week to clear and an associate 2-3 days depending on the departments workload.

Background checks generally come back in 2-3 days but conflicts depends on the firm.

9/29 check in! Dynamic push day, emphasis on shoulders with a jump rope & battle rope circuit to end it. Currently ~219, working to hit 235lbs by mid February. Trying a different approach this year and putting a high emphasis on VO2 max while gaining weight. We’ll see how it ends.

How long is too long? I interviewed with a mid size firm in mid September, and haven't heard the results yet. Got a courtsey email for first two weeks stating they will come back by next week.
