What do you think ? I did asked for 60% hike. HR is not listening. I don’t have any other offers as of now.

I passed through a recruiter and we spoke about salary expectations very early on. He told me that 110k for this specific role would be the max. He put me in touch with another startup where the range is higher (120k) but I have a preference for the VC company w/ lower compensation. In Iowa, there is no Overtime pay mandate, the overtime pay is at the discretion of the business. I received 58.6 hours of base pay for the week.

If the company makes less than $1 million per year or does not engage in intercontinental sales, the company is not required to pay the overtime rate of time and a half, just your base rate.
