I’ve been working in pe ops for about 4 months and it ranges daily for me. 9-13 hours a day and sometimes some weekend work? It’s definitely different depending what you’re doing though. Some people probably work a lot more
Actually the minimum is usually 10 hours
I've done MBB and PE Ops. PE Ops has generally better WLB, but still 50-60+ hrs per week minimum. Can be heavier during diligence or when starting a new project. Also, in PE Ops I've had much more control over my schedule. Much easier to accommodate personal and family needs. Also PE Ops pays better for fewer hours!

Cause you also get to boss around the consultants instead of getting bossed around :)

Better than consulting. Worse than industry
Does PE Ops require an MBA? Have ~4 years of consulting experience out of undergrad and looking to make the next move. Unsure how recruiting for PE ops looks like, what types of openings to look for?

From what I have seen, there has been a fair amount of AP/AM types moving to PE Ops
