I feel like such a loser: it feels like everyone is doing something, a cool side project, getting published, selling nfts, getting a new hobby, getting into shape, and I’m just here unemployed for a year barely making it on a day to day basis trying to find reasons to exist (not suicidal). Anyone else had this? Are you only as good as what you create?

Hi All, I was offered a role with Aecoms San Francisco office working with an energy client for a midlevel associate environmental planner. I wanted to gauge what is a general salary that ones been offered on this team. I felt lowballed at $79k/annual, initially offered 74k. I’ll start because I recently did. I was angry; told them so; but my anger was measured and directed at specific circumstances (as opposed to losing my temper). It reset the relationship in a productive way (so far).

Just interviewed with a firm and it seems great. I was told that although associates are given an annual billing requirement, the firm focuses more on your “receipts” rather than hours billed. I understood that to mean that the firm is more focused on whether or not your client pays your invoice. Has anyone worked for a firm like this?

if a practitioner is being rolled off a project, and talked to their replacement before leadership about project onboarding ( not first contact)... why would that be a bad thing?

Have an offer from PWC AC BG as a Sr. Assc. for 12.7 fixed. My friend works at PWC and told me that it is very likely that there'll be a permanant WFH.

I started working for a solo-preneur (so it's just us two) last year and after several very open and honest conversations about workload capacity and boundaries re: my schedule, I don't think I can see myself here long-term.
