Hello DevOps Engineers,

I use to work as a Support Engineer. I unskilled myself in DevOps and moved to DevOps. I have 3+ Support experience and 1.5 as DevOps Engineer. I have worked on Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and I’m certified in terraform and kubernetes and GCP.
I’m getting an offer from a company as Site Reliability Engineer. Is it good to move their as SRE? Will it look good on resume?

Total Exp: 4.5
CTC = 2.5 LPA
Offered = 12 fixed

If you receive a job offer and use that offer to negotiate additional compensation at your existing job, do employers typically ask to see the offer letter? I got a verbal offer, which I quickly denied for a variety of non-monetary reasons, but the comp package was above what I make now. Just wondering if I can still leverage this for more money, or if it’s a lost cause since I don’t have the offer in writing.

I work for startup tech co. that was recently integrated with a larger similar employer. For 5 years I’ve been a contract 1099 employee salary range about $30k annually. My employer would like to offer me a managerial position yet still a 1099, however would like to offer compensation/bonuses to weigh out the fact that they are not providing any health ins, benefits or tax garnishments. I have zero tax write offs as a 1099 just for reference. What salary range should I be asking for?
