Fatal Affair was absolutely ridiculously terrible. Two hours of my life I’ll never get back. Any legit movie reccos off Netflix, Hulu or other? Trying to avoid rentals as I’ve been doing too much of them.
directors+ on a call saying that if doctors can rewear masks then we can break rules too at work... extremely disappointing tone at the top making fun of a serious situation. Anyone else seeing this?
I had a miscarriage at work and one partner had to take me to the ER as I was bleeding heavily. He asked if he can tell another partner I’m close with because he is away starting Monday and wants someone at work to know and be there for support. I wouldn’t mind in principal but a bit worried about being baby tracked. Not by the other partner but if word got out and other partners find out. But also I could really use some support as I have some work files I need someone to help cover. Thought?
Anyone know if Bain is hiring in Chicago?

Anyone know anything about working at Butler Weihmuller Katz Crag and Wicker Smith? Had interviews with Butler and an upcoming one with Wicker Smith as a legal assistant. Culture, pay, which firm is better???
20 years of experience in financial services, was burnt out so wanted to “try” consulting in fin services. Low balled for no consulting experience upon hire so took $100k paycut. How to break back into industry after 3 year consulting pivot? Am a SM... making VP salary, with ED experience. Ugh. Cluster eff. What should be target salary for advisory asset management wealth focus work? So confused with this 2-3 year derailment. Can’t afford lifestyle like this decade setback in comp.
When would I get in trouble? I keep stealing people from my old company for my current company 😂
Is upgrading to LinkedIn Premium worth it?
Starting the certs in the CTA pyramid but wondering if it’s worth it. Does it increase your salary if you get the CTA cert? If so, how much or what levels/salary bands would it put you in at a partner or Salesforce itself?

Just gonna call this out -- WNC is a screaming buy; it's absurdly underpriced. Get in and then sell at $14 or $15 for some quick returns

Any good book recommendations on learning about real estate investing? Trying to avoid some of the more over the top, guru type books. Have been recommended Set For Life but have read reviews that it’s pretty basic and only really covers house hacking. TIA
Am I too late to max out my IRA? :(
Does anyone feel weird putting so much money into their retirement? A sense of fear that they won’t make it to that age and it’s all a big waste of time?
Saw that apparently if you paid off loans already, any payments made after 3/13/2020 could be refunded up to the $10/20k eligible amount. Is this true and has anyone tried talking to Nelnet yet about it? Just paid off fully in Nov 2021 so hoping to get that back lol.
I’ll call in tomorrow, but does anyone know - I accidentally transferred $ into my Roth but am over the income limit (wasn’t last year due to grad school so forgot to update the automatic transfer). Since the money hasn’t been invested, can I just transfer it back to my checking and to the Ira I’ll use for backdoor Roth? Or is there a tax implication even though there are no gains/money is still in cash
I’m an idiot and never opened a Roth. Salary jumped 100% and never got a chance to. What are my options here ?
Rollover IRA - In the middle of doing that because I have 2 401Ks floating around
I'm such an idiot! Bought 5k in VTI stocks at its peak last week and now it's down 8%. Should have waited a week or even a day! 🤦🏻♀️😭 Praying the market bounces back soon. 🙏
I tried to play the merger arbitrage game with the Taubman - Simon Property merger. Unfortunately the deal fell through today. Luckily only down about 5% from where I bought in and didn’t invest much. Should I just cut my losses and move on or stick it out?
First and last time attempting to “trade”. I’ll stick with long investments from here on.
Market feels bloated so thinking of selling all stocks and staying cash heavy for a bit. Bad idea?
I just entered my Roth (6K) in VTI @240.88 and QQQ @398.24 evenly. I see I am at the higher side on the highs - should I exit tomorrow and hold for a better price point in the next month or so? Any guidance is appreciated since I am buying lumpsum into the two and plan to do this annually with my 6K.
I booked profits from the stock markets around Christmas 2020 thinking that there will be correction which will let me re-enter positions. Now I am FOMOing while sitting on a pile of cash for thr last 2 months. Please suggest the best way forward? Wary of mistiming market moves but also don't want inflation to eat away assets.
Thinking of buying about 10 shares of AMZN and not touching it for at least 10 yrs. Bad idea?
