In our industry, Partner in a Consulting org is the best way to maximize your income, hands down. It's a very powerful feeling knowing you make way more than your client does. The only exception to this is if you did a start up or had your own successful company.

I’m a freelance AD/CD. Updating portfolio with new work and rewriting my bio. My strengths are conceptual thinking and overseeing ideas come to life: picking prod co, directors, going to shoots, etc. As well as overseeing design dev, as needed. Is it ok to eloquently mention that I do not design? It’s the truth and I don’t want to end up in a situation where a team is counting on me to design anything myself. During an interview the hiring manager provided a salary range for the position with the top of the range aligning with my salary minimum. I was extended a verbal offer today however the salary was not provided (which I found odd.) Rather than inquire the salary that was being offered I requested to see the offer letter before providing an answer (and allow time to consider my options.) Did I go about this the right way? Am I still able to negotiate past the max of the salary range?
