What's your end of the year goal? Personally or professionally? My personal goal is to finish 2 more self help/professional advancement books by January 1st. Currently reading "It didn't start with you" by Mark Wolynn. Taking rec's too if you've read any good ones!

My personal goal is to clean out and re purpose my extra bedroom into a space I actually want to be in. Getting in shape and organizing my home are two of my '23 goals so I'm getting a headstart. Professionally, just get through the end of the year without any big hiccups honestly.

I want to loose 3-8 more pounds of weight. I have been working hard at my weight lose and have lost 20 pounds so far so just a little bit more to go and I will be good. Then the goal for next year is to be able to sustain. I was doing good sustaining for over 3 years and then i believe covid hit and i just went downhill from there.

Also trying to read more! However, so far I have only been reading mystery/thrillers. I should probably add something more educational to the list. Also trying to work out more, which has been tough since I am just getting over an injury. But it feels good to be back in it regardless.

Started Atomic Habits, it’s highly recommended.

Currently reading Emotional Intelligence for Sales Success by Colleen Stanley. Enjoying it so far even if it isn't an instant classic.

I have books to tackle as well: Atomic Habits and Dare to Lead. Professionally I started a new job and simply hoping my brain doesn’t blow before the end of the year with all the knowledge I’m taking in. 🤯

My end of the year goal would probably be to find the perfect house/apartment the me and my family could move in. We've been dreaming about it for the whole year and we're really excited because we are so close to sealing the deal.

Hi Account friends! It’s the start of a new year and I was hoping you all could share any book / newsletter / blog / course recommendations that help keep you up to snuff. Feeling a bit stale and like the last year has been a tactical grind. I want to brush up on modern thinking for our industry - the latest and greatest marketing books, strategy perspectives, creative self help, etc. to feel more alive as we start 2022.

Comment your favs and THANK YOU in advance!

My husband never reads and wants to start reading as a new hobby. What is a good book that you would recommend for a 40 year old man? Not self help books, but maybe something with action. I think he would like the Bourne series, but he saw all the movies so he's not interested, but something similar.

What's with the saturation of self help/ productivity books on social media (reddit, Instagram etc.) ? Not saying I don't mind reading them, but I see this quite a bit. Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. The worrying/anxiety multiplies when I proceeded further in the interview stages. Now that I signed the offer and is pending background checks, my anxiety is off the roof as it itches closer to my starting date.

I’m curious to learn how many applications or how long it normally takes for a junior corporate associate to lateral into another position. I have had interviews, but I have always not been selected becaus of my experience. I am very lost right now and don’t know what to do. Can someone please give me some advice?

How do you manage the drive to find a role vs the burnout of actually pursuing the role?

Hi all! I could use some advice! I’ve been in software sales for 8 years now, plus another 10 years spent in Asset Management (changed careers in 2015).

I did a poor job of maintaining a relationship with the SFDC manager, whom I really liked, and now I’m without a job. And advice on reconnecting ?

I’ve been job hunting in the commercial real estate sector for about 7 months. Interviewed with 9 companies. Received a verbal offer and accepted. Written offer came in lower than what was discussed. Has this happened to you all before? I’m in Atlanta, GA. Also on average, how many companies do you all interview with (associate level) before obtaining an offer?

Kind of a weird one but has anyone ever told you you're too nice at work? I feel like I'm professional and straightforward at work, and I definitely wouldn't consider myself a kiss ass but a coworker (another woman) told me I'm too nice today. I'm kind to everyone but not so much that I would call it a part of my personality. Is this a thing?
