Any helpful tips for a Google TPM interview
I just got an email from a recruiter from Google!

He said that the position is in the Bay Area or New York. I haven’t replied the email. I don’t think we can move to those cities, but I don’t want to lose this opportunity. Does anyone know if Google does remote jobs within US?

McKinsey & Company Has Mckinsey met BA headcount quota for the year/did they freeze hiring? I interviewed and got to last round last year, and applied again with a referral two months ago but haven’t heard anything from recruiting. Last year I heard back within 1 month of referral drop. I would’ve thought with my 1 more year of experience I should be able to get an interview easily.🥲 McKinsey & Company

I typically keep tabs on companies love and check periodically if they have a suitable role for me. I also network with people in my desired job title or company for the sake of it (but try to keep it natural). Sometimes it’s as easy as we follow each other on LinkedIn for a while (months, even) and when the right role comes up, then I ping them about wanting to chat or be connected with the right person to learn more about the role and if I might be a good fit for them (not really about it being a good fit for me bc that sounds selfish).
Cold applying to roles has never worked for me. For every company I’m interested in, when I see they have a good role for me I either reach out to any contact I have there or try to connect with their in-house recruiter on HR (might be worth getting LinkedIn Premium for a couple months for this)
