Probably a controversial answer but before going in house, I really enjoyed GL litigation. A lot of shit talking, different personalities and hardcore negotiations. Mostly fun depos, sometimes very contentious. I had a great time
Criminal, especially post-conviction and capital cases.

Estate planning - I get to work with and help families, but also am in a firm where the partners have super high net worth clients. I get to help with these crazy complex estates (and the drama that inevitably follows), but get to keep my stress level down since I’m not the partner. (I realize this will hopefully change someday, but it’s a nice benefit in the meantime.) 👍

The OP’s question is odd. Most of us do only one kind that we fall into very early (for big law folks). I did two (well 3): corporate bankruptcy and real estate (which also encompasses private equity, for me these days). It seems as if the original post is meant either for the true generalist or a summer associate rotating through different practice groups.
