What’s your favorite part of working on a research project and what’s your least favorite part of it?

I want to move into IFS for better work life balance and less stress. I don’t mind working hard but can’t handle the client stress. What IFS teams are good for work life balance (and which to avoid?)

Are there any other Project Managers who have ADHD ? What type of PM work do you do? Outside of it just not being what I want for a career path if I advance / I don’t find it rewarding anymore, I have greatly struggled as I’ve moved up and now with the simplest things. I’m turning in my notice this week because of how badly it affects my well being especially the last year and a half. I plan to take a long time off and look for something once I have resigned. Any insight is appreciated.

Open to new opportunities as a project manager, however, the options I am finding are all 6 month contract or contract to hire.

My boss recently ask me to make “reports and trends” a priority and asked for data to about what is driving the market and how we are comparing. She also wants me to make a proposal for this project but it’s such a large task I don’t know how to start. How do I handle a situation where a supervisor questions comes off as she sees me as stupid and is belittling me? In the beginning of week, I was scheduled spilt between her client and another, and she felt I was responsible to tell her. We all have access to the schedule. When on this other client, she wanted to do call. I responded I was at a client, and she was upset and believed I should respond her questions concerning her job. I was in a conversation with a client at the time.

I received an offer from IBM Bangalore. However I saw openings at my preferred location Kochi only after the interviews. I called the HR after getting their point of contact mail and I asked if it's possible to switch. They said I'm already tagged to a project and that they'll check from their end if it can be done.

Anyone knows the chances of location being changed after receiving the offer and getting tagged to a project?

Any tips for developing a thicker skin at work? I have a really difficult time not taking it personally when those above me have a snippy, passive aggressive, taking stress out on their subordinates, or blunt communication style (especially over pings) - a lot of the time it doesn’t have to do with me (like they’re in a frustrated mood because of client delays) but it still really gets to me unless I know a concrete reason that doesn’t have to do with me that they’re acting that way
