I'm the only employee with a background in finance in a tech startup growing at a 300%+ per year. Ever missed opportunities due to shyness or low self esteem?

When is it time at a struggling company to seek a new role? I’ve only been in my role ~ 1yr. It’s great for prof growth bc I’m on a small legal team in a global co and involved in a wide breadth of matters. High QOL and I like the people.

However, we’ve undergone RIFs (not my region yet). Stock price has taken a hit (above mkt).

Ideally I’d stay at least another year. Ok with some degree of risk bc I’m not the sole breadwinner in my family.

I’m looking for a remote (open to a hybrid) paralegal role in the DMV/NYC/NJ area. I’ve 5 years experience, and currently working as an appellate paralegal in the family law arena, but have experience in bankruptcy, civil rights litigation, etc. I also have trial and appellate experience. I’ve dealt with ADHD my entire life, although was just diagnosed last year. Throughout my career (assurance>industry>consulting), I’ve been able to “outwork” everyone else in the office to counter the lack of focus and other associated faux pas associated with the disorder. I’m so tired of the fun getting sucked out design via overzealous feedback on legibility, golden ratios, and whatever new “rule” some design bro talked about in his money grab authoritarian keynote. Surely I’m not the only one who listens to their gut feelings? Sometimes ugly and wrong is interesting. Where did everyone’s imagination go?

This company I interviewed at expects me to create a wireframe and design out visuals, as well as fully animated prototypes. Is that a normal thing these days?

Is the market really bad right now or am I just getting no interviews from job applications because I suck?!

I work in a start-up - and the founder keeps wanting to see design progress day by day and I feel like am rushed and not given time develop design concepts to their potential. And because of that, I am forced to show them where am at, and then they start nitpicking every little thing in the screens designed even though I myself haven't fully finalised them
