With the high transmission rate of the Omicron variant, what is the likelihood of achieving some semblance of herd immunity? The very real & dark prospect of another 250,000 deaths by April 1st (15MM infections w/ 1.62% mortality) would mean a 30% increase in cases, which is realistic with a R0 value exceeding measles. So with the additional cases + 60% vaccinated, will it just die off?
DB /BB incline bench
Chest presses..do you have weights?
Yeah I started going to the gym. I’ve been benching and incline DB bench... honestly, I neglected my chest for years haha... 😩
Incline bench will get your upper pecs solid. Combine that w/ flat bench, dips, occasional DB fly’s and you should be good to go. Personally I prefer using dumbbells because it allows me to position my shoulder in a way that feels comfortable vs a barbell which starts to hurt my shoulders when benching heavier weight.
Rising Star
It all comes down to intensity, volume and frequency. Hypertrophy can happen in a number of ways.
An exercise is an exercise but is it performed properly with the right form? With the right weight? Number of reps/sets?
And remember - you aren’t building muscle in the gym - you are tearing it apart and breaking it down. You build through repair so you have to focus on nutrition and rest.
Heavy bench
Incline bench, dips, push ups till fail
Thanks y’all! seems like I’m doing the right lifts, just need to be patient.
What are y’all thoughts on the cable machines?
I’m like to stay in the 8-12 rep range for muscle growth and strength. Maybe give that a try? Also, I’m not a huge fan of cables, more of a free weights kind of guy
Increase volume
You need to do barbell presses — incline , flat and decline
