Hi everyone, I am a development professional with 12 years of experience across climate change, sustainable development, CSR, livelihoods and M&E. I am looking for M&E, project/programme management roles in international development organisations in India and in Africa ( particularly Southern Africa and East Africa as I’ve lived/worked there before). Academics wise I’ve an undergraduate degree in economics and a masters in economic development.

I was offered a partnership at a small firm I used to work at before my current also small firm. We had come to terms and I expected to inform my current firm. To my surprise, my current firm made me a significant offer to stay. Not a partnership, but making more money and better benefits. I’m torn because the other firm is under the impression I’m coming in as a partner. But I can’t turn away from the significant offer I have from my current firm, where I enjoy working. Any advice/thoughts?

I took a JR Pm role due to lack of agency experience but I find that the other PMs aren’t doing anything that I’m not & due to lack of leadership, resourcing & foresight I have had to step up and own rooms with no mentorship/guidance. I feel like I was duped and brought in on a jr role w/regular PM asks &no aupport. I was approached by another agency for an associate Pm position. I know you need 3 years of experience in PM to get a PMP but I wanted to know if it would be possible to sit for the exam without the experience? I mean I technically have 6 more months until I obtain the 3 years of experience. Thought?
