Whats your go-to meal when cooking a quick lunch while WFH? Lately I’ve been making roasted sheet pan veggies (sweet potatoes, red onions, broccoli, asparagus and seasoning) and it’s epic. 20 minutes on medium heat and then 5 on broil. Love it!

I keep frozen burritos and things to air fry for super busy days. I love making cold salmon or poke bowls with kimchi, avocado, radish and other proteins/carbs. It takes no more than 15 minutes to whip up a bowl and each day is different. I usually use canned tuna or the cold sliced raw tuna/salmon from Trader Joe’s if I’m short on time.

Love a sheet pan dinner! Lunch is usually a bagged supermarket salad that I add tuna to with some Trader Joe’s everything bagel seasoning.

How do you have the energy to cook I live off of takeout

I used to be like that until I learned a few recipes that I really enjoy, and like eating. I used to dread cooking, but I eventually came up with a handful of quick and super easy recipes that I could make in <15 minutes. Now I actually enjoy cooking and preparing my own food!

like

Soup (invest in a soup maker if you want to make it even quicker, 20mins for a meal and can be prepped the night before like cutting the veg and so forth). Pasta obviously (pesto sauce pre-made or make your own carbonara or bolognese), again around 20 mins. Steak, salmon fillet or chicken breast, quickly fried in a pan and any side really (I tend to make sides a lot in advance, such as potatoes, peas, cauliflower or brocolli) Cold tuna salad with pasta (make in advance, eat straight from fridge), I usually add corn, greek yoghurt, gherkins, canned tuna and pasta Chickpea salad with any greens, 5min for prep Burgers, any type, frozen vegetarian ones are great, cook alongside the vegetables in the sheet pan but regular ones aren't bad either. Salmon and cream cheese bagels I also sometimes prep a dessert over the weekend that I have during the week like brownies or cookies. And have a lot of fruit for snacking, as well as some salty snacks, cheese and eggs at all times in the house Home made meals are crucial for my overall health I noticed, mental one as well, I feel more at home and less stressed when I can eat normally and fresh. I don't mind take out but is occasionally for good i can't be bothered making (good pizza, falafel wraps, giros/kebab)

My go-to’s are: Greek salads. I’ll switch them up by having them in a bowl one day and on naan bread another. Also switch up the protein with falafel, chicken breasts, or beef gyro slices from Trader Joe’s. If I have left over grain from a night before (rice or quinoa) I mix it with salsa, black beans, and chicken for a little Mexican inspired bowl. Otherwise I’ll just make myself a smoothie. When I’m feeling bad I make Snoop Dogg’s fried bologna grilled cheese. 😈

In my late 20's, but I've lived in my current city (nonUS) my whole life. I was really looking forward to moving to NYC and landed a job there earlier this year although I'm still WFH and not in the US yet. A recruiter reached out to me for a new role but it would be in my old city. I'd be pretty fine with both roles themselves. But the NYC one would pay about 140$ TC (not sure about bonus yet, this is a guess), and the non-NYC one would be maybe $25-30 more. Is the $ worth the city sacrifice?
