Second year in a row that holiday stress has given me heart palpitations. Not going to bother to tell my family either

I am going to be joining Accenture’s Strategy & Consulting division shortly, I need to book a trip later in the year. I was wondering does Accenture have a mandatory shutdown period over Christmas for which we need to keep our Annual Leave? Also does Accenture’s holiday year start on Sep 1st?

Silly question- But Is today a business/working day for most people? I was about to text/email a broker who helped me find an apartment last year but not sure if I’m being inconsiderate considering we’re still in the holiday season. Need help finding a new apartment. Thanks !

I took spontaneous PTO (4 days but really 3 days as I worked a bit today) (also, I was highly encouraged by my mentor at the firm to take PTO this week before busy season hits next week.) I came back and got scolded for not letting my reviewer know (a partner btw). I was planning to work on the engagement next week. I feel awful and cried after reading the partner’s email. Supervisor said I couldn’t have week off for vacation this summer bc another coworker of higher seniority asked off the same week and two people can’t go on vacation at the same time because of staffing. But this coworker that asked off works different shift than me? He works 1st shift I work second. We have a total of 8 workers and no more than 4 work a day. can easily be covered. This has never been a problem until this year (we got a new supervisor). we’re used to being short staffed anyway

2nd year here that got f***** over by a colleague. We were supposed to work on a memo due in two days but she went completely MIA. She knew I was going on vacation this week. I told her I’d be working through the weekend so she could bring the memo across the finish line. Now I have to crunch on my vacation. I hate badmouthing people (and I don’t plan to) but the idea that she can get away with blowing off a colleague without any sort of consequence pisses me off. Thoughts on how to handle?

Manager leaving Accenture for a specialty firm in Public Sector. Two firms competing for me have offers on the table.

The one I like told me they just don't negotiate vacation and everyone from the C-suite down gets three weeks.
