The world is becoming overly politically correct it’s harder to distinguish between ignorance and just having your own opinion. Eventually we will just believe and think the same things due to conformity. And it’s difficult to talk to people who don’t know why they believe the things they believe. Good prompt.

Agree 💯 and I’m a conservative. Opinions and feelings should never be seen as more important than science and facts.
I look down on everyone in the lower levels at Big 4. Brainwashed and spouting out koolaid, unable to acknowledge that there’s pros and cons to working at any firm at any level, no idea what it means to consider where you individually might fit best either. You might be an expert in cash and AR, but bet you’ve never even seen a whole audit file start to finish, let alone build your client-facing skills when you’re not even allowed to look/speak to them.
There’s tons of benefits and prestige that come with Big4. Just sayin’ it’s not for everyone and there’s perks elsewhere to fit those people too, no one is lesser than.
Kind of a blanket statement. There are junior people in big 4 teams that interact directly with clients and assists meaningfully. That said, would agree 90%+ fall into that category

I think two spaces after a period looks better.
It is easier to read with 2 spaces for many font and screen combos for many people, but people have been trained on 1 so it seems that is the official way now. Little chance of going back.

You can’t change your sex or choose your gender. This is scientific fact and not a matter of ‘political correctness’ or how you feel. When you die your skeleton will reflect what you are born as. How you act - you choose. How you dress/look - you choose.
Sex is a biological aka scientific delineation. Gender is a social construct to define sex. A social construct can be defined by the people in that society. Science is science. If I identify as man but biologically am a woman, then I expect you to treat me as a man but a doctor to treat as a woman.
I think people that are continuing to wear masks months after being vaccinated are complete morons.

This is my take: if you’re going to follow the science on the way in, you gotta follow the science on the way out. Barring any unusual circumstances, masks should go bye bye … unless you live in the south and then you’re toast.

Aww I love my cat. He’s the sweetest. I used to hate cats but now I have one and I can’t imagine life without him. He always greets me when I walk in loves to play and run around. And he loves to stay clean and won’t go outside.

Seems like feminists that happen to be bullies, are only in it for themselves not for equal women's rights for the greater good of women.
Fat acceptance is stupid, unless it's because of underlying medical condition. If the underlying medical conditions are because of obesity, it's still stupid.
I’m an immigrant and I find weight to be very interesting in the US. I see a lot more fat people than in any of the 5 other countries I have lived in and yet it’s almost taboo to say fat. There is also an obsession with super skinny being attractive which is odd with the stats about weight in the US. I do think there is an unhealthy focus on accepting fat in lieu of promoting healthy lifestyles. I think once fat Americans start seeing fat as an accurate descriptor (not curvy, not voluptuous, not heavyset etc) and not a slur, it might be the start of acknowledging the problem and doing something about it.

I judge people who treat their dogs like they’re children and then cry when their pet dies and have to take time off of work to compose themselves
Man, our 10 week old puppy that we named after the daughter we never had was killed when a family member dropped her. We spent the weekend grieving and have a memorial up for her. Our 3/5 yo were traumatized by her death.

I agree, wouldn’t people want to be represented by their “country” ? I get that using Latinx is more inclusive but why call, say, people from Mexico Mexican or Mexican origin people in America as Americans?

C3, you said you judge others for not wearing masks. Of course do whatever you need for yourself and your family, but the CDC has cleared it as okay to not wear a mask if you’re vaccinated. Why judge others for following the guidance, which is based on a great deal of research? And I’m not at all anti-mask, btw.
