Have a job offer on the table. It would be a title promotion and salary increase of 15%. My current agency is very well regarded in the industry and makes amazing creative work. I like the culture and the people. The hours can be longer but is expected. I do think there’s opportunity for me to get promoted here, but unclear on timing and I’m already feeling antsy. The new company seems great, but is smaller and less “well-known.”

HR pros - I have a question for you. I got disappointing news that I didn’t get either of the roles I applied for. I was shocked because the interviews went really well and my experience was in line, if not on the higher end of requirements. I was told that it was my salary and job title expectation. I’d be ok with that if they hadn’t flown my ass out there to meet with everyone. They knew my salary and position expectations before inviting me to the interview. Should I buy it?

How much should you/did you spend on an engagement ring? Internet is saying a gd rule of thumb is 3months salary....which is around 50k for me before tax. Is this the norm? Is that before tax or after tax? Seems a lot to me but if that’s the norm I can live with it.
